CREAMIMPERIAL
Three portraits of Martina Braun in her studio

The artist

Martina Braun

Cream Imperial began as a search for quiet — an answer to a world full of noise.

I am a Swedish artist, working professionally since 2019, and my work lives in homes around the world. Each piece is built entirely by hand, layer upon layer, in white and earth tones — until light and shadow become the image.

What I am after is a certain stillness. A surface with its own weight and presence, that changes the energy of a room the moment you walk into it. Restrained in colour, bold in form.

“I build each piece by hand until light and shadow become the image.”

Sculptural texture in the studio

Studio process

Weight, depth and dimension.

Every painting is sculpted with materials Martina has developed herself over years of experimentation — a signature textured technique that has become her language. The result is a surface with exceptional depth and a distinctive three-dimensional character: no two pieces can ever be the same.

Each work is signed and delivered with a letter of authenticity.

Large scale & commissions

A piece shaped to your space.

Large scale is Martina’s specialty. She loves creating big works that change a room, and creates them to commission — working side by side with you, shaping the piece until it is right for your space. Every work is packed to travel safely and shipped worldwide.

I’ve shipped over 300 artworks around the world — only five have ever been damaged in transit, a 98.3% record of arrivals in perfect condition. In the unlikely event that anything breaks during shipping, I will replace it with a new painting. Please inspect your package before signing the delivery slip.

Designing a home, hotel or public space? Martina would love to hear about your project.
